Our story

Nearly two decades of backing social entrepreneurs

  1. 2007

    Firstport starts work, helping social entrepreneurs bring their ideas to life.

  2. 2009

    The Social Entrepreneurs Fund launches, with the Scottish Government.

  3. 2014

    LaunchMe launches: Scotland's first accelerator for ambitious social entrepreneurs.

  4. 2021

    The Catalyst Fund launches, bringing revenue-based social investment.

The office is in Edinburgh, and the team travels across Scotland to run workshops and give one-to-one support. In the North East, Firstport runs Boost Invest with PNE and partners.
